It's almost spooky in a way, the look on Shaggy's face... as if she knew she was passing on care of her two legged to the lazy puppy on the floor....

Yes, In retrospect it was as if she knew she would soon be passing on the quard to the little guy on the floor. Shaggy was 15 in that photo and sadly passed away by the time Merlin was four months and exactly the same size as her.
